FEEL ME, TOUCH ME, SEE ME
There has never been a greater demand for synthetic materials to mirror image natural products.
Vinyl foils used in the furniture industry are not simple and poor copies of the natural materials. New technology and constant innovation from Alfatherm over the years has resulted in a new generation of 2D and 3D furniture foils the look and feel "like the real thing", whilst maintaining their own intrinsic properties.
One of the major developments has been in the area of surface textures and lacquering in order to make this new generation of foils appear so authentic and true to life, with added benefits in terms of durability, functionality and workability.
A clear example of this is the new Alfatherm Tile range, with its "casual" surface structure that replicates in all respects the look and feel of ceramic.
The new Tile range was launched at Interzum 2017 in Cologne in four trendy colours. The new Tile colours will be introduced into the 3D global stock collection, once again allowing manufcaturers the luxury of adding innovative designs into their collection without the commitment of a volume production quantity.
At Interzum 2017 we also launched the new Serica surface - as featured in previous posts - including a selection of woodgrains and abstract designs with the Serica anti-scratch and oleophobic anti-fingerprint properties.
Serica surface is a giant leap forward in supermatt technology, which up until now has been focused purely on solid colours.
Not all wood surfaces, naturally, have or need wood grain embossing, and the wax-like feel and appearance of Dalia Walnut will offer Designers something new and open up the possibilities of further developments and collaboration.
Several other designs will also demonstrate the versatility of the Serica surface including Metropolitan, a concrete effect foil introduced in 2016.
Our aim at Alfatherm is to continue to offer our customers the opportunity to make available to the consumer a greater choice, and the change for them to create their own individual style to reflect their personalities.
